Appearance

The first thing you would probably notice about Mary would be her heterochromatic eyes. Her right eye is a silver-blue and her left eye is green. They were once the same color until during the Civil War. Then, a Marylander who sided with the South hit her in the eye with the blunt side of a rifle. She had to spend a few weeks out of battle, nursed by none other than her best friend Francis (not France, this is a different Francis).

Her blonde hair is very fine and goes to about her hips. Her bangs are very uneven, but she likes it that way. It was once very short, more like a boy's haircut. That was during the Revolutionary War, when she was fighting with her siblings against Britain (that was not a fun time....). Most of the time her hair is let down, but occasionally she will put her hair in a ponytail. She usually only does that for fishing and crab catching.

She normally wears a simple girl's sailor suit and a sailor's hat. The hat she wears has a red crab stitched on the side too. No one knows who gave it to her and why, since she keeps it a secret. When at a meeting, she prefers to wear a navy blue dress with black high heels, and her hair is tied up in a loose bun.

Mary also has glasses, but she doesn't like to wear them. She thinks that they make her look dorky (not like she isn't already). She has them because her one eye (the blue one) is partially blind (700/20 in that eye), but the other eye is perfectly fine.

The girl also has a long burn mark on her back. This is from the Great Baltimore Fire, which destroyed a major part of Baltimore in 1904. You can sometimes see it on the back of her neck when she puts her hair up, but otherwise it's totally hidden.
